AI tools are considered writing assistance tools only.

✔ Allowed Uses:

  • Language editing
  • Grammar correction
  • Structural organization
  • Draft improvement
  • Translation support

✘ Not Allowed:

  • AI listed as author
  • AI generating fake references
  • AI fabricating data, results, images
  • AI making ethical or authorship decisions

STEP 2: Maintain Human Accountability

  • Authors must verify all AI-generated content
  • Authors retain full responsibility for:
    • Data accuracy
    • Citations
    • Ethical compliance
    • Plagiarism prevention
    • Copyright compliance

AI cannot:

  • Sign authorship forms
  • Declare conflicts of interest
  • Approve final manuscript

STEP 3: Disclosure Requirement (Mandatory)

If AI tools are used, authors must include a disclosure statement.

Where to Disclose:

  • Acknowledgment section
  • OR
  • Methods section (if used for data analysis)

Example Disclosure:

“The authors used OpenAI for language editing and manuscript drafting assistance. All AI-generated content was reviewed and verified by the authors, who assume full responsibility for the final manuscript.”

Failure to disclose AI use may result in:

  • Manuscript rejection
  • Retraction
  • Institutional notification

STEP 4: Data & Image Integrity

AI must NOT be used to:

  • Generate synthetic research data
  • Fabricate experimental results
  • Manipulate scientific images
  • Create false references

All datasets must be:

  • Authentic
  • Traceable
  • Verifiable

STEP 5: Citation & Reference Verification

Authors must manually verify:

  • DOI accuracy
  • Journal title
  • Year, volume, issue
  • Author names

AI-generated citations must never be accepted without cross-checking in:

  • CrossRef
  • PubMed
  • Google Scholar

STEP 6: Peer Review Confidentiality

Reviewers and editors must NOT:

  • Upload unpublished manuscripts into public AI tools
  • Share confidential reviewer reports with AI systems

STEP 7: Book & Chapter Publications

For books published under Newredmars Education:

  • AI use must be disclosed in preface or acknowledgment
  • AI cannot hold copyright
  • Final intellectual responsibility belongs to named author(s)
  • Contractual terms override AI tool terms of service.
