ERADICATION AWARENESS
On 1st July 2026, the Department of Botany, Ravenshaw University, under the aegis of the Bigyan Prachar Samiti, Odisha, commemorated Doctors' Day by honouring the invaluable contributions of medical professionals and organizing an awareness programme on cervical cancer eradication and the promotion of HPV vaccination.
The event featured an enlightening lecture by Prof. (Dr.) Niranjan Rout, eminent onco-pathologist and former Dean and Director of Acharya Harihar Post Graduate Institute of Cancer (AHPGIC), Cuttack, Odisha, emphasizing the importance of early screening, PAP Test, HPV vaccination, and public awareness in preventing cervical cancer and safeguarding women's health.
