AI Publication Policy for Books

Responsible Use of AI and AI-Assisted Tools

Authors using Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) or AI-assisted technologies (“AI Tools”) must comply with all applicable legal, ethical, privacy, confidentiality, and publication standards.

Authors are solely responsible for reviewing and accepting the terms, conditions, and data usage policies of any AI Tool before use.
Authors must ensure that the use of AI Tools does not compromise the privacy, confidentiality, or security of unpublished manuscripts, research data, or personally identifiable information.
AI-generated images, audio, or related materials that reproduce copyrighted works, identifiable individuals, trademarks, brands, products, or voice likenesses without authorization shall not be used.
Authors are responsible for verifying the accuracy, authenticity, neutrality, and reliability of all AI-generated outputs, including correcting errors, fabricated references, misleading information, or potential bias.
AI Tools must only be granted limited rights necessary to provide the requested service and must not be permitted to retain, reuse, distribute, or train on submitted materials without authorization.
Authors must ensure that the terms governing AI-generated outputs do not restrict or interfere with the future publication, distribution, licensing, or dissemination of the submitted scholarly work.

Disclosure of AI Use in Books

Authors must clearly disclose the use of any Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) or AI-assisted technologies during book writing, editing, or manuscript preparation at the time of submission. The disclosure should include the name of the AI tool, purpose of use, and the extent of human oversight. Basic grammar, spelling, or punctuation corrections do not require disclosure. Any AI use related to research methods, data interpretation, or content generation must be properly described in the relevant section of the book manuscript.

Authorship Responsibility

AI tools shall not be listed or recognized as an author, co-author, editor, or contributor of the book. Authorship and editorial responsibility are limited to human contributors who are accountable for the accuracy, originality, integrity, approval, and ethical compliance of the submitted book manuscript. Authors must ensure that the content does not infringe copyright, intellectual property, or third-party rights and complies with publication ethics and legal standards.

Use of AI in Book Figures, Images, and Artwork

The use of generative AI or AI-assisted tools to create, alter, manipulate, or modify figures, images, illustrations, charts, or artwork in submitted book manuscripts is generally prohibited unless properly authorized and disclosed.

Minor adjustments such as brightness, contrast, or color correction are acceptable only if they do not alter, misrepresent, or conceal original information.

Where AI-assisted imaging or visual generation forms part of the research methodology or academic content of the book, authors must clearly describe the AI methods, software, model details, and usage process within the manuscript. Authors may also be required to provide original or unedited image files for editorial review and verification.

The use of AI-generated artwork for book covers, promotional materials, or graphical designs without proper authorization or disclosure is not permitted.

Use of AI in the Book Publication Process

The Newredmars Education may use AI-assisted technologies within the editorial, review, production, indexing, metadata management, and publication processes to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, accessibility, and publication quality. All such technologies shall be applied responsibly, ethically, and under appropriate human supervision in accordance with publication standards and responsible AI principles.
