Prof(Dr) Kapileswar Mishra, born in 1969, is an eminent academician and visionary leader with an illustrious career spanning over three decades. With an extensive background in Civil Engineering complemented by Legal Studies, he holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and an LL.B degree from Utkal University.
With an impressive tenure of 30 years in education, notably serving 12 years as Director/Principal in esteemed institutions like Synergy Group in Odisha, OP Jindal University in Raigarh (CG), NSHM Group in West Bengal, and Chaitanya Group in Andhra Pradesh, Prof(Dr) Mishra has consistently showcased exceptional leadership and pedagogical excellence.
Beyond academia, Prof(Dr) Mishra has made significant contributions as a Fellow Council Member/Advisor in various universities.as well as a Board Member of AGRAGAMEE, a prominent NGO in Odisha. He served as a Former Evaluator at CAPART, under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, actively participating in evaluating diverse developmental projects
His research primarily revolves around Experimental Hydraulics, Scour D/S of Hydraulic structures, and related domains. Prof(Dr) Mishra has presented and published numerous papers in esteemed National and International conferences and journals, playing a vital role in advancing engineering knowledge.
Prof(Dr) Kapileswar Mishra has received prestigious accolades, including the National Scholarship and Gold Medal from IE (I), the National Doctoral Fellowship from AICTE, the Union Ministry of Water Resources Irrigation Prize at the 31st Indian Engineering Congress, the Prakruti Bandu Award from the Environment and Forest Dept., Govt. of Odisha, and the Aryabhat Gourav Sanman, Kalinga Gourav Award in 2017.
He holds esteemed memberships in various associations, including The Institution of Engineers (India), International Association of Hydrological Sciences, INTACH, Indian Society of Technical Education, Orissa Engineering Congress, Orissa Environmental Society, Indian Society of Rock Mechanics and Tunnel Technology, Indian Water Resources Society, Indian Association of Hydrologists, and is a Fellow Member of the Indian Society of Hydraulics.
