Dr. Yugal Kishore Mohanta is a leading academic and researcher with over a decade of experience in the field of nanobiotechnology, microbiology, and natural product research.
He earned his Ph.D. in Life Sciences from North Orissa University, with earlier academic distinctions as a gold medalist in both B.Sc. and M.Sc. Biotechnology. His scholarly portfolio comprises over 114 peer-reviewed publications, 9 edited books, 28 book chapters, and 2 patents, reflecting a strong commitment to translational science and sustainable innovation. He is also the founder of the NanoBioTraK Lab, supported by SERB-DST and the Government of Malta.
Dr. Mohanta serves on editorial boards and as a reviewer for over 40 high-impact international journals, including Frontiers in Nanotechnology, Food Chemistry, and Scientific Reports. He is actively engaged in research spanning nano-nutraceuticals, fermented food, underutilized/neglected food, and functional bioplastics from agro-waste.
