Hemanta Kumar Sahu

Dr. Hemanta Kumar Sahu has passed M. Sc. and M. Phil from Utkal University, Odisha. He was also awarded Ph. D. from the same University in 2000. He has done his Ph. D. in ducks and geese of Chilika Lake. He has also served in Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun as Project Associate and Faculty in Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation of North Orissa University in 2002. Now he is working as Professor, Department of Zoology, Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University (Erstwhile North Orissa University). He is involved in Wildlife Research in Odisha as well as in North Eastern States of India and published papers on wildlife of those areas. He has published nine books published by National level Publishers to his credit. So far he has guided 14 Ph.D. scholars and several M. Phil students. He has visited Smithsonian Institute, USA, Malayasia, Bangkok and Indonesia on training programmes for Biodiversity, Statistical course and Climate change during 2006, 2010, 2014, 2017, 2018 and 2023, respectively.
