Debasis Nayak

Dr. Debasis Nayak is currently working as Assistant Professor (I) in the Department of Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation, Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University Baripada. Dr. Nayak has earned his M.Sc and PhD in Life Science from NIT Rourkela, Odisha, India and B.Sc. in Zoology (Honors) from Govt. (Autonomous) College, Rourkela, Odisha. Dr. Nayak has 10 years of research experience in nanotechnology, microbiology, immunology, and molecular biology. He has published 22 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and has attended and presented at many international conferences. Dr. Nayak has expertise in the synthesis of metallic nanoparticles through green synthesis route, preparation of novel drug delivery carriers using various natural and synthetic polymers. He has wide expertise in handling high-end instruments such as XRD, FTIR, flow cytometer etc. Dr. Nayak has reviewed many research articles for international journals and his current research interests are in developing novel therapeutics using traditional knowledge of local tribes.
